本站消息 自新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎疫情发生以来，海内外众多国际友人心牵防疫抗疫工作，以各种形式支持中国抗击疫情。2020年2月11日，以色列诺贝尔奖获得者、云南农业大学、云南省高原特色农业产业研究院、云南绿色食品国际合作研究中心的国际高级顾问达尼埃尔•谢赫特曼（Danielle Shechtman）教授通过视频向一同共事的学校老师表示问候和关心。视频中，达尼埃尔•谢赫特曼教授还表达了对中国抗击疫情的决心和举措的表示赞赏与钦佩，以及希望联合开展相关药物研发的意愿。

隔离疫情，不隔温情。在这一特殊时期，这份深感跨越国界的关爱，更增添了全校师生抗击疫情的决心和信心。全校上下将持续密切关注疫情变化，全面落实防控措施，全力以赴、科学有效地做好疫情防控各项工作，同舟共济、众志成城，全力打好新型冠状病毒感染肺炎疫情防控阻击战。

达尼埃尔·谢赫特曼教授来信全文（根据视频语音整理）：

My dear colleagues and friends in China:

This is Danielle Shechtman from Israel. I send all of you my warmest empathy in these trying times. My heart and thoughts are with you these days.I know from my communications with some of you and from the media, about the mobility restrictions, designed to stop the spread of the (novel) coronavirus epidemic, and the many other measure China is taking to best control the current crisis. It will take some more time until it is all over.

We are all concerned about the spread of the epidemic in China and in other countries and affirm the measures taken by all levels of Chinese government to contain the epidemic. I admire the commitment and measure taken to control the spread of the coronavirus, the life-saving work by physicians and medical teams, and the solidarity shown by the Chinese people in this epidemic situation. I am sure that the measures taken will gradually stop the spread of the virus.

This breakout is an alarming call for a long term prevention measures and solutions to such epidemics. Research should be very well supported to develop vaccines and medications to prevent and effectively control virus spreading and to heal infected patients. Materials scientists can also help by developing virus-killing mask materials and anti-virus surface coatings.

I wish my many friends and colleagues in China fast recovery from the situation. Please stay well and safe. See you all soon on happy occasions.

亲爱的中国同事和朋友们：

我是以色列的达尼埃尔·谢赫特曼。在这艰难时期，我向你们所有人表示最诚挚的问候，我的心与你们同在。从与你们的交流和媒体关于抗击新型冠状肺炎疫情措施的报道中，我了解到中国已经采取了很多有力措施应对疫情，但距疫情解除尚需一些时日。

我们都担心新型冠状病毒肺炎在中国和其他国家的传播，并且肯定中国各级政府为控制疫情所采取的措施。我钦佩为控制新型冠状病毒传播所作的承诺和采取的措施、医生和医疗团队的救死扶伤工作、以及中国人民在这次疫情中表现出的团结。我相信，所采取的措施将逐步阻止病毒的传播。

这次疫情爆发为我们敲响了警钟，号召我们对类似疫病采取长期预防措施和治疗之策。应大力支持研发疫苗和药物，以预防和有效控制病毒传播并治愈受感染的患者。材料学科学家们也可以通过开发抗病毒口罩材料和抗病毒表面涂层来提供帮助。

希望中国同事和朋友们能够早日渡过难关，且每一个人都能健康平安，期待很快就会与你们见面。
